Quad AP Fresnel Lens PIR Motion Detector
The ASC Edge
Alternate Polarity Quad
Alternate Polarity Quad is an ADEMCO exclusive. ADEMCO's unique detector design causes an intruder to create opposite signals on its two alarm channels and only signals of that type will register an alarm.
With Quads from other manufacturers, an intruder signal creates identical patterns on both channels. The problem with this is that radio interference or power surges may also create identical patterns on both channels, and cause an alarm on an ordinary Quad PIR.
Because Quad PIRs require that both the top and bottom elements must be intercepted at the same time, they are ideal for preventing false alarms due to rodents.
